A famine of hearing the words of the LORD

How terrible it is if the world can not hear the words of God anymore!
During the time of prophet Amos, the Israel enjoyed a time of prosperity, but their hearts never turn back to the Lord! Then the lord sent a message to them through Amos that he would send a famine through the land, not a famine of food or water, but a famine of hearing the word of the Lord.
How terrible it is if the world can not hear the words of God anymore! People will stagger from sea to sea and wander from north to east, searching for the word of the LORD, but they will not find it. People would thirst, faint, fall and never rise again.
How terrible it is if the world can not hear the words of God anymore! So, open your bible and pray to the Lord. Prey that we can still hear the word of the Lord, for it is the bread of our lives. Pray that the world can still hear the word of the Lord, for it is the light to the world.

"The days are coming,” declares the Sovereign LORD, “when I will send a famine through the land— not a famine of food or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the LORD. People will stagger from sea to sea and wander from north to east, searching for the word of the LORD, but they will not find it.
"In that day “the lovely young women and strong young men will faint because of thirst. Those who swear by the sin of Samaria— who say, ‘As surely as your god lives, Dan,’ or, ‘As surely as the god of Beersheba lives’— they will fall, never to rise again.”
