How long have you been a Christian? Are you mature enough to recognize the difference between right and wrong and be able to do what is right in your life?
The book of Hebrew draws a clear line between spiritual infancy and maturity and points out the way to reach spiritual maturity.
The spiritual maturity does not mean how long you have been a believer, how many messages you have heard, how many times you have read bible, how many knowledge you already have.
Some people have been a believer for long time , but still do not understand the basic right and wrong, and still can not do what is right in their lives. Those people are like babies who live on milk and can not eat solid food.
We are having living lives, with living people, in a living world. The spuritual maturity means to have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong, to know how to do what is right in your life.
The only way to gain spiritual maturity is through training , the moment-by-moment and lifelong training in the real life and real world. The training is to change your perspective and align with the Lord, the training is to change your way of life and stay on the track with the God, the training is to reinforce and strengthen the new life in you and let it grows in the Spirit.
Paul said in his letter to Timothy ,"Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.” This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it.(1 Timothy 4:8-9 NLT)
God blesses!
Bible verses,
You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things about God’s word. You are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food. For someone who lives on milk is still an infant and doesn’t know how to do what is right. Solid food is for those who are mature, who through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong. Hebrews 5:12-14 NLT
