We should not mirror CA policy to the political struggle outside of this country, where the people, environment social-economics and policies are drastically different from ours!

For example, what's the difference between the ethnicity of Taiwan vs. Mainland China? India vs. Pakistan vs. Bangladesh? Nothing except for war and politics. Within Asia, there had been massive mixing of bloodlines: the Filipinos are a great example of such but it doesn't stop there. Mongol and Manchu people used to rule over China and freely intermarried. Nobody knew who had what bloodline because nobody really cared after a while. There had been a lot of mixing amongst Turkish, Hungarian, Russian, Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese, Hmong to name a few. The list is endless! In fact, there are 55 recognized minority groups in China alone, many of which are due to interracial marriage. 

AB1726 disregarded Asian American's heritage while wanting to stratify based on "ethnicity" that's clear as mud to the Asian Americans. For what purpose? Where is the scientific backing for such a division? Completely biased and unscientific data will yield anything but positive public benefit! For example, is there any corresponding policy governing data security and likely abuse? Can we rely on the local schools and hospitals to keep the data safe? Don't they need costly system upgrades? How can we ensure that this finely segregated, personal and sensitive data won't be used for Muslim registration or any other hate crime ignited from international political or socioeconomic conflicts? How do we know if health data collected won't be used by the insurance industry to secretly discriminate against, for instance, the Filipinos Americans for their higher rate of diabetics? If this law is so beneficial, why don't we fully stratify the European American and, say, single out the Jews? Or the African Americans? If it is not okay to do that to the other races, it is not politically correct to do it to the Asian American.
