Some theologist says that God has sovereign power, every thing is predestined, he will never change his plan for man. Prayer just calm yourself down, and get to know God's will at the most.
This is a plain lie. They just want to keep people away from our gracious God.
God listened to Abraham's request and kept Lot safe, in the same way, he will also listen to our prayers.
So, present all your need to the God in your prayer, he will always listen and answer your prayer. He is sovereign, and he is kind, gracious to people who come to him.
