Paul was the apostle commissioned by the Lord for the gentile. He worked hard with his life and soul to bring the gospel from Jerusalem to Asia , to Greece , to Macedonia , and all the way to Roman. He had lots of achievements and experiences to be proud of himself.

But God put a thorn in his flesh, a messenger from Satan. Paul might also fell proud of himself sometime like every one of us, but whenever he felt proud, the thorn would torment him, and punch a hole in the empty pride.

Three different times Paul begged the Lord to take it away. Each time the Lord said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.”

Is there a thorn , a weakness in your flesh, which prevent you from becoming proud? Give thanks to the Lord for the thorn, it will prevent you from being proud, and keep you fully relying on the Lord. The Lord says the same words to us today , “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.”

God bless!

Bible verses,
So to keep me from becoming proud, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger from Satan to torment me and keep me from becoming proud. Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.”

So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians‬ ‭12:7b-10‬ ‭NLT‬‬
