陈钢：今天是2016年1月25日
当我走在尔湾的街道上做着挨门挨户的竞选推广时，有几个感人的瞬间，我想和大家分享一下。
我来到这家民居前，敲了敲门，问道：“请问帕梅拉在家吗？”
开门的是一位年轻男子，看起来二十七八岁的样子，很可能是她的儿子。
他看着我，笑着说：“帕梅拉正在洗漱，但我也是一个选民。事实是您不惜花费您的时间来到这里来拜访我们，这对我们来说意味着很多，也会对您今后有很大帮助。现在已是晚上7点19分，你仍然在这里努力工作。当我投票的时候我一定会记得您。”
我将要代表的就是这些了不起的尔湾民众，他亲切温暖的言语使我觉得我的努力是值得付出的。
几分钟后，在另一家的门口我敲了门。应门的绅士名叫约翰，他已是一位80几岁的老人了，看到我他非常高兴。
他说：“您这样敲门做着竞选推广，就象以前当我在英格兰住的时候他们做的一样。我是一个登记的选民，但我从未去投票，但是这一次我支持您，我将投票”。
我被他的话深深感动了，眼泪欲出...
谢谢你们！了不起的尔湾人民。我将继续努力的工作，为你们使尔湾更美好!
Today is 1/25/2016. While walking Irvine neighbor and doing the door to door campaign, I have several touching moments:
I knocked on a door and ask: "Is Pamela home?" The gentleman who answer the door was probably her son, and probably in his late twenties. he looked at me, and smiled and said: " Pamela is in the shower, but I am a voter too. The fact that you take the time and come here to meet us means a lot, and it will go a long way. It is now 7:19pm and you are still out here working hard. I'll definitely remember you when I vote."
These are the great Irvine people that I am going to represent, and his kind words make my effort well worthy.
A few minutes later, I knock on another door. The gentleman who answer the door is John, and he is in his 80s. He was very happy to see me. He said:" You are knocking on the door and campaign, just like what they did when I lived in England. I am a registered voter, and I never voted, but for you, I'll vote."
I was so touched by his words, and my tears almost came out, Thank you, the great people of Irvine! I will continue to work hard for you to make Irvine better.

Thank you for swinging by my place today while you were campaigning. I didn't open the door because I did now know who you were, and it was an unannounced visit...
I read your flyer and I found a few of your points very interesting.. especially re-evaluating the Irvine Master Plan. If you are doing an event, I will be happy to come out to do a meet and greet with you.
Otherwise, I will check out your website.
