There are always challenges in life for everybody , big or small , one kind or another. Some people are discouraged and worn away; but some persevere, grow up and become mature and strong.
What makes the difference?
Paul told the difference. He said that all athletes were disciplined in their training to do what was right and correct what was wrong to win the prize. As the same, Paul trained his own body in his service to do what it should do to win his eternal prize.
One youth sister at church is a nurse , she shared her story :
Being in a chaotic situation that several patients acting up at the same time - the 1st time I was shocked, and I was so traumatized that I didn't want to go back to work anymore; the 2nd time I was frustrated and exhausted emotionally and physically; the 3rd time I tried so hard to prevent beforehand but it still happened, therefore I was disappointed to myself and I cried; today, the 4th time I went through this, I was able to stay calm, doing all I should and could do. Praise the Lord. His strength is sufficient for me.Just want to record it although I want to remember none of those chaos..
So , life is a training camp , training yourself to be holly and to do every good work for the Lord. Keep on the good work, win or lose. One day when you look back, you will be surprised to see that you have grown up and become mature and strong.
Blessings.
Bible verses,
Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing. I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to doing what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified. 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 NLT
