Future in heaven and meaning in the world

What is the meaning of life? One of my brothers said he has been searching the answer for years， until he accepted Jesus Christ and find his future in heaven. Without the future in heaven, the life in this world is just meaningless.
Life is never easy. By the sweat of your brow you eat your food all the life, till one day you return to the ground, for dust you are and to dust you will return. What is the meaning of life, if there is no future in the heaven?
Apostle Paul also thought about the value of the hardship of his ministry. He risked his life hour by hour, he faced death daily, he fought hard against the wild beasts, those people of Ephesus. What was that for? It was all the lives he saved through his ministry and his words generations after generations. These lives will never perish, but will last forever into heaven.
