怪主流媒体忽视，我们运用社交网络发声了吗？

出了事，华人一些反应是媒体没有关注，我不禁要问，我们关注媒体了吗？是否不在微信出现的就不存在？下面是我总结的几项行动步骤和例子。中英夹杂，您懂的。
1. 开户Twitter几分钟，平时不需要整天像刷微信一样盯着。开户后add me @Chunyan_Li。Facebook主页https://www.facebook.com/chunyan.li.94
需要时候我发微信群里，大家动动手指转发。
2. 真是已经太累了，每次都是求爷爷告奶奶希望华人在微信之余用用其他方式。这样的事如果还不能刺激一下就真只好指望下一代了。而很多家长又抱怨下一代被洗脑，到时咱们才是真憋屈了--不但看着主流媒体的忽视甚至歪曲（例如对Scalia的报道，只突出他说的mismatch，忽视他是个great legal scholar），更要无奈看着自己的下一代运用social media和我们背道而驰。到那时怪谁？
下面是十四岁孩子对家长们沉溺微信的反馈视频，发出时引起一些家长不满，现在重温感觉如何？他语速快，大家仔细听听他去年八月说了几次“替罪羊 scapegoat" 一词？

4. 去年Jeb Bush anchor baby 出来后，就是加州一个十五岁亚裔用Twitter hashtag #myasianamericanstory 引起主流媒体报道。见前文链接。

5. 我刚刚followed Christopher Kang, who wrote on NBC News urging Obama to nominate an Indian American Judge to the Supreme Court. While we can debate the merit of Kang's argument after the protest, this is the kind of message we DO NOT get to see around wechat. 华人不能再“微信不存在的事就不存在”下去了。
6. I was also talking to Lee Cheng (the one in the Harvard Overseer ballot). My wechat group interviewed Cheng last month. He has been fighting these battles for over 20 years. 他也希望我们这些微信上沉默的大多数能找到渠道发出声音。
7. Another person in contact is a non Chinese lawyer and writer Dennis Saffron. We can engage non Chinese by using Facebook.
8. 我们应该在各地华人群里找出能运用FB/Twitter的人成立social media group. I am just tired of repeating my 老生常谈 every time something happens. On average, every incident increases Twitter usage by a dismal two or three people. 拜托大家在各自其他群里找出运用English social media的朋友告知我。
9. 大家知道孩子打球练琴需要muscle memory，学校老师建议多读书建立头脑的muscle memory and build up stamina for reading。难道我们身处美国，不需要锻炼自己运用英文媒体和社交网络的stamina 吗？平时不看不评论那些媒体文章后面的跟帖，出了事难道就自动能讲出道理、引起主流媒体关注吗？
10. 各微信群传的群主接龙挺梁，能否请每个群主在自己群里找出10个群友开户？如果能有这决心，请联系我。

转我群里在FB/英文媒体发言的一位：擅长写作的家长和孩子，需要你们的时候到了。梁警官的事件在各大主流媒体的报道，以及主流媒体在Facebook的report，很少看到华人的评论，根本听不到我们的声音。希望你们能去上面留言，让美国社会听到华裔的声音。具体做法，1. Google Peter Liang，选最近时间的报道，然后看下面的comments，写上你们的留言，给我们支持的留言点赞。2. 在Facebook上，search ABC7NY，还可以search 其他媒体，然后进去这个媒体的主页，然后在这个主页的左边，有一栏叫search in this page，打入Liang，你会看到所有关于这个案件的报道，选择最新出现的两个，看上面的留言，给支持我们的点赞，＋上你们的留言。谢谢！

只有先开FB/Twitter账号，才可以学会用。我的实践群做过Twitter讲座。1. 大家先开户，add my contact. 2. If I post something, it is as easy as forward wechat messages here. In FB click "Share", and in Twitter, click "retweet".
看看Trump的免费宣传，他的Twitter粉丝几千万，发一则Scalia消息马上很多反馈。说到Scalia，周四刚刚因为一个群友说升学申诉打种族牌太低级，我说“mismatch theory高大上啊，但是亚裔如果整天说墨非裔不适合哈佛，媒体不把我们拍死，看看Scalia的下场”。今天就听到这个。前段刚刚借了他的传记没时间看呢。大家去Twitter找找Trump关于Scalia的tweet。

转一位二代律师：MainStream Media has a pretty limited view of Asian Americans. The only views they solicit are the ones they think Asian Americans should have--Jeff Yang, Emil Guillermo, Chris Kang--like their version of House/Gatekeeper Asians who benefit personally and financially from propping up and expanding the New Establishment. Very non diverse but they like it that way.
