Among all the issues the Corinthians church had, Paul was extremely serous and strict on the sexual immorality.
A man in Corinthians church lived in sin with his stepmother. It was even a wicked things in the eyes of the pagans. But, to Paul's astonishment, some people in the Corinthians church even boasted about this, and was proud of this. They should mourn in sorrow and shame!
Paul send a clear message to the Corinthians church. This wicked man must be condemned in the name of Christ. A meeting of church must be called. The wicked man must be thrown out of the church. Even though he was not there personally, he would be present with them in spirit , so would be the power of Christ.
The message is clear. So, live a holy life with sincerity and truth and keep the church clean.
