STOP RACIAL DISCRIMINATION IN PUBLIC EDUCATION
PLEASE REGISTER TO VOTE

SCA 5, the bill that would allow racial discrimination in California public educational systems was passed in California Senate house in January, and was pulled back in March. However, the author of SCA 5, Senator Hernandez and his supporters are planning a campaign to bring it back. SCA5 was passed in the Senate house strictly along the party line, with 27 Democrats supported it, and all 9 Republicans opposed it. If democrats continue to have supermajority in the state Legislature, SCA5 will have chance of passage again.
We oppose SCA 5 because it punishes hard working Asian Americans; it does not address the root cause of low academic competence of some minority groups; it does not solve real problems in California educational system; it stirs up racial hostility. Ultimately, it will hurt all Californians.
Please register to vote in June (primary election) and in November (general election). If you oppose SCA5, or believe no party should have unrestricted, unchecked power in legislatures, please consider vote for Republican. Please let other people know. Thank you!
