Do not give up but rise up

This is a warped and crooked generation , the last day of the world , and we are waiting for the Lord to come again. This is true , but some people become lazy and discouraged , they take this as a excuse to give up to the sin and the evil force.
Ezra and his people setup good example for us all, as recorded in the book of Ezra 10:1-5 NIV.
Soon after the Israelite returned from exile. To Jerusalem, some people intermarried with the corrupted people around them and followed their detestable practice. Ezra and a large crowd of people prayed, confessed wept bitterly for the sin the Israelite committed against the God .
Then Shekaniah said to Ezra, “We have been unfaithful to our God by marrying foreign women from the peoples around us. But in spite of this, there is still hope for Israel. Now let us make a covenant before our God to send away all these women and their children, in accordance with the counsel of my lord and of those who fear the commands of our God. Let it be done according to the Law. Rise up; this matter is in your hands. We will support you, so take courage and do it.”
Ezra rose up and put the leading priests and Levites and all Israel under oath to do what had been suggested. And they took the oath.
So this is indeed a warped and crooked generation , but do not be discouraged and give up. Let's follow the example of Ezra and his people , encourage and support each other , rise up for the Lord and against the evil force.
