9/12/17 10612 S. De Anza Blvd, cupertino, Salesman: Dan

Types:
- wood with aluminum
- Wood with vinyl
- all vinyl

Wood gives better texture and looks more sophisticated.
Vinyl is hard to paint. So if the outside needs to be dark, aluminum is a better option.

Glasses half clear, half obscure is ~$250 more per window. So Dan suggested all obscure ones.

Dan highly recommended Jeld Wen for its good quality at a reasonable price.

Price-wise: Milgard < Jeld Wen < Addison < Marvin

Jeld wen has many lines. The cheaper ones sale in homedepot.
Recommend Sideline from premium collection.

Milgard is good if white inside and out. 15% less than Jeld Wen.
Marvin is about 20% more than Jeld Wen. But its hardware looks much better to me, in particular sliding ones.

My concern: Jeld Wen sliding does not work very well. Sliding is the most convenient to me.

grid add cost to windows.

Doors: the fancy all open ones are 2x and impractical. High end houses seem to have them.
Double sliding doors look pretty good and practical to me.

6-8 weeks to order, more like 8 weeks.
GC needs to build to ordered window size.
Dan says he will check the plans for consistency.
