The Asian Pacific Islander
American Public Affairs Association’s (APAPA-NYC) Summer Internship is designed to prepare
college
students of the Asian Pacific Islander (API) background to become future leaders in the State of New York. This eight-week internship program provides
an opportunity
for outstanding Asian-American college students to work in the offices of elected official and policy offices in New York as staff interns and to be involved in the Asian Pacific Islander community.
By the end of this program, students will be able to develop leadership skills, gain public
policy experience and become civically engaged in the political, legal,
and civic arenas.
