Railroad crossing update from Lydia

I wanted to keep you updated about the tragedy recently. The Santa Clara Medical Examiner-Coroner’s office has determined the incident as a suicide. The young 19 year old man was 2014 graduate from Gunn High School. Our condolences to the young man’s family.
The City of Palo Alto will be increasing track guards at the railroad crossings and Palo Alto Police will provide enhanced security at the Churchill, Charleston and East Meadow rail crossings.http://www.cityofpaloalto.org/news/displaynews.asp?NewsID=2848
I want to give a shout out to Sophia Liu… Thank you for taking action and taking a 2 hour shift to keep watch at the crossing. Your efforts exemplify neighbor caring for neighbor and a caring inclusive community. Thank you Sophia.
