What is faith?
Is faith just a feeling? When you feel good , you have faith; but when you feel bad, you do not have faith.
Is faith an one time deal? When you did some good thing, you have faith; but when you did some bad thing, you do not have faith.
No! Faith is not a feeling, faith is not a one time deal. Faith is to build a house on the solid rock, to build your life on the words and the grace of the Lord. It is a lifelong commitment and lifelong following the Lord.
Then, when the rain comes in torrent, when the floodwaters rise, and when the winds beat against you, you will not collapse but stand firm, like a house built on a solid bedrock.

Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash. Matthew 7:24-27 NLT
