Some people among Thessalonians Christian community lived idle lives. Their hearts never settled down, they refused to work but meddled in other people's business. Paul urged the idle people in the name of the lord Christ Jesus to settle down and work to earn their own lives.

God always wants his people to settle down, especially when they are in difficult time.

In the Old Testament time, the God asked prophet Jeremiah to send a letter to the exile in Babylonia , and to ask them to settle down. “Build homes, and plan to stay. Plant gardens, and eat the food they produce. Marry and have children. Then find spouses for them so that you may have many grandchildren. Multiply! Do not dwindle away! And work for the peace and prosperity of the city where I sent you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, for its welfare will determine your welfare.”(Jeremiah‬ ‭29:5-7‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

So stop wondering around , do not dwindle away. Settle down in the grace of the Lord, never get tired of doing good, work hard to make a living of your own, with faith, peace, joy.

God blesses.

Bible verses,
Yet we hear that some of you are living idle lives, refusing to work and meddling in other people’s business. We command such people and urge them in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and work to earn their own living. As for the rest of you, dear brothers and sisters, never get tired of doing good. 2 Thessalonians‬ ‭3:11-13‬ ‭NLT‬‬
