After serving the Lord independently from Jerusalem for fourteen years, God asked Paul to go to Jerusalem. Why? What did God want Paul to do in Jerusalem?

Fourteen years was a long time, Paul was not familiar with the church at Jerusalem anymore. He met privately with the those who were considered to be the leaders of the church.

He had heard different voice from Jerusalem, which could put the gospel in danger. He shared the message he had been preaching with the church leaders, he wanted to make sure they were in agreement. He feared that all his efforts could have been wasted and He could be running the race for nothing.

To his relief and in the grace of God, the church leaders supported him and did not even demand that his companion Titus be circumcised, though he was a Gentile.

The Lord promoted Paul to take the first step to communicate. The Lord wants his servants to stay connected , to support each other and serve him side by side.

Bible verses,
Then fourteen years later I went back to Jerusalem again, this time with Barnabas; and Titus came along, too. I went there because God revealed to me that I should go.

While I was there I met privately with those considered to be leaders of the church and shared with them the message I had been preaching to the Gentiles. I wanted to make sure that we were in agreement, for fear that all my efforts had been wasted and I was running the race for nothing. And they supported me and did not even demand that my companion Titus be circumcised, though he was a Gentile. Galatians‬ ‭2:1-3‬ ‭NLT‬‬
