Change for the gospel

There is a popular slogan, "This is who I am. Nobody said you have to like it." It is right that we do not struggle for others' approval. But it does not mean we could ignore other people and become stubborn, ignorant and even arrogant. The question here are who we really are and what we really want to do.

Paul said he was willing to change and he did that. When he was with the Jews, he gave up his freedom as a Christian and was willing to follow the Jewish law . When he was with Gentiles, he never acted like a pharrasie , even though that was part of his history. When he was with the weak,he always reached out and shared their weakness.

Paul always kept people in his mind. For the gospel , he would give up his right and put on the chain. For the gospel, he was willing to change and find common ground with everyone.

I knew an old missionary who plays video game and becomes friend with children. I knew a lady who rode motorcycle and brought some gangsters to Christ. I knew a youth pastor who plays nerf guns and keep the youth close to him.

Are you willing to change for the gospel? What you want to change today for the gospel?

Bible verses,

When I was with the Jews, I lived like a Jew to bring the Jews to Christ. When I was with those who follow the Jewish law, I too lived under that law. Even though I am not subject to the law, I did this so I could bring to Christ those who are under the law. When I am with the Gentiles who do not follow the Jewish law, I too live apart from that law so I can bring them to Christ. But I do not ignore the law of God; I obey the law of Christ. When I am with those who are weak, I share their weakness, for I want to bring the weak to Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone, doing everything I can to save some. I do everything to spread the Good News and share in its blessings. 1 Corinthians‬ ‭9:20-23‬ ‭NLT‬‬
