These bible verses are very hard to understand. "Remain as you were " even though you were a salve. Was Paul against any social changes, was Paul so insensitive and not aware of any differences in people's worldly situation?

Paul was not against social changes, Paul was aware of the difference in the world. He said If you were a slave and had a chance to be free, it would be nice, take it. The point that do not let it worry you.

The most important things is that God has paid high price for you, the high price superseded every things in the world, which are of very little significance in the light of God's grace. So do not be enslaved by the world any more, do not let your worldly situation worry you any more, no matter where you were, either a slave or free man.

The grace were upon you when you were called, no matter where you were, either a slave or a free man.
If you were a slave when God called you, you are free in the lord. If you are free when God called you, you are a slave of Christ. It matters little either you are a slave or free, what really matter is to be the children of God, and follow his command , and be in his service.

Bible verse,

Yes, each of you should remain as you were when God called you. Are you a slave? Don’t let that worry you—but if you get a chance to be free, take it. And remember, if you were a slave when the Lord called you, you are now free in the Lord. And if you were free when the Lord called you, you are now a slave of Christ. God paid a high price for you, so don’t be enslaved by the world. 1 Corinthians‬ ‭7:20-23NLT‬‬
