SageMedic is an early start-up with the mission to develop an ex-vivo test which uses the patient's own cancer tissue to predict best possible cancer therapy for an individual patient. In short, we try out the dozens of possible therapies on the patient’s tumor, not on the patient. Our vision is a paradigm shift that in 5 years from now, oncologists will be able to offer their patients a treatment regimen that provides our patients and loved ones with the best chance of tumor response and survival.
We are seeking a conscientious and highly reliable biologist or biomedical engineer who is committed to world-class excellence to make this vision reality. The winning candidate will need to be able to independently run the experiment and the lab, which may include handling of fresh, surgically resected cancer tissues, fluorescent staining for tumor markers, flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, image analysis, writing reports, creating presentations, designing and building biomedical devices, etc. Most importantly, the winning candidate has to be exceptionally determined to do whatever it takes to deliver results on time and on budget.
Minimum requirement is a graduate degree in biology or biomedical engineering or at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a life-science startup environment.
If you consider yourself conscientious, determined, and committed to SageMedic’s vision giving cancer patients the best chances of survival, please submit a resume with a LinkedIn profile and a personalized cover letter that emphasizes your most relevant traits and skills you would bring to SageMedic at sroon@SageMedic.com.
