When the sun starts to set

into western end of the world

It has become as delicate
as the yolk of an egg
Its hues are as tender
as the feathers of a duckling
   wearing wings of a flamingo

I'd hold it in my palms
patting its head and wings with a smile

8.13.'15 Belle Côve, NS

8.11.'15 Isle of Madame, Cape Breton, NS

It casts its last look at the small fishing village
its quaint origin place of birth
The beacon is beckoning to the sailors

Farewell to its eastern homeland

8.14.'15 Peggy's Cove, NS

8.15.'15 Yarmouth Cape, NS

It lands upon the lighthouses on its subtle claws
And dips into the sea with its elegant beak

Skies and waters turn into gold
And Fire Phoenix
   spreads its magnificent wings

8.13.'15 Belle Côve, NS, Canada

It flies across the west end of world
   leaving a brilliant trail behind

The dusky skies and evening seas
