PLEASE ATTEND THE HEARING:

3-MINUTE SPEECH IN EXCHANGE FOR 30 YEARS CLEAN AIR!

In Oct 2012, only two residents attended the public hearing while the city of San Jose granting the expansion permit to Newby Landfill, so Newby easily won!

IF YOU DON’T WANT IT TO HAPPEN AGAIN, YOU HAVE TO SPARE SOME TIME TO ATTEND THE PUBLIC HEARING ON FRIDAY AUG 14TH AT 1:30PM!

No one should forget that after the permit was granted to the Newby landfill in 2012, the foul odor began to attack residents almost every day with no exceptions on holidays!

We all know because we are united to fight; the city of San Jose has to reconsider the expansion permit. The decision still hasn’t been made and we still have a chance to win the tough battle.

IF WE DON’T STOP THE EXPANSION, THE TRAGEDY OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS AROUND SUNSHINE CANYON LANDFILL WILL HAPPEN TO US! AFTER THE LANDFILL EXPANSION MORE THAN 8000 ODOR COMPLIANTS WERE FILED!

IF WE STOP THE NEWBY LANDFILL EXPANSION PERMIT, WE CAN SAVE A LOT OF TIME AND MONEY TO WIN THE FIGHT!

To serve its purpose of getting the expansion permit, the Newby Landfill has spent millions of dollars to clean up and cover up the foul odor. It seems like the air is not as stinky as before. We all have a short memory and start forgetting stinky dates and kindly wish it will sustain! Unfortunately it hardly can sustain because they need to make a profit and need tremendous money to do their public relation. Therefore they can’t keep spending millions of dollars to keep the garbage from smelling. For clean air we have to keep fighting until we have restored our basic human right of clean air!

Superior Court Public Hearing will be on Aug 12, 13, and 14th at 8:30 AM but Friday 14th is the day we need as many residents as we can to speak up in the section of public comments which will start from 1:30PM.

Superior Court address is

 Department 2, Superior Court

191 N. First Street, San Jose, CA 95113

The case is about the LEA has failed to act on residents' complaints about Newby Landfill foul odor. CITY OF MILPITAS VS. SAN JOSE LOCAL ENFORCEMENT AGENCY!

Please arrange your time to attend and prepare your 3 minute speech!
