6名受邀请的演讲家，各自分享了精彩的人生经历和智慧。其中有刚刚毕业的大学生真实地分享了自己多年参加公益事业的心理历程，还有教育家分享了不同家庭收入的孩子，在语言发展的巨大区别。并且提出如何帮助低收入家庭的孩子来提高阅读的方法。

1) Kaitlyn Fitzgerald, Learning to make a difference (学生如何做公益事业？）
在这个讲座里，刚刚从ASU本科毕业的学生Kaitlyn介绍了自己和同学在高中去非洲加纳做志愿者的一次旅程。然而他们在那里干的活仅仅是粉刷教室。怎样才能真正服务社区呢？她分享了自己的心理历程。
There is no right way to make a difference despite all of the wrong ways we are able to identify. Kaitlyn Fitzgerald talks about how leveraging strengths and lessons learned along the way can improve how we approach solving local and global problems.
A recent graduate of Barrett Honors College.She studied Global Studies, Business Public Policy and Arabic at Arizona State University. She dreams of a career in Social Entrepreneurship working with innovators to achieve maximum impact. Her journey in public service began in High School when she served as ESL coordinator at the Arizona Lost Boys Center, and has led her to establishing a scholarship program in Ghana, serving as director of ASU’s Changemaker Central, attending the Clinton Global Initiatives University meeting, becoming a Harry S. Truman Scholarship finalist, participating in the Watson Institute Philadelphia, and working with refugees recently settled in the Phoenix area. Kaitlyn currently works at Zero Mass Water as Business Development Analyst.

3) Tom Leveen, Scared vs. Afraid

4) Carrie Gillon, How we judge others when they speak, and why we should stop （Assistant Professor, ASU, English Department ）
Learn how linguistic discrimination is as bad as any other kind of discrimination, even though it may seem more socially acceptable. Carrie Gillon, linguistics expert, describes some of the features in language that we use to discriminate against others. Often a person's language is judged because of who they are, rather than any inherent problem with their language.
5) Marshall Shore, Un-obscure history （Hip Historian and Librarian ）
Keeping our eyes, ears, and minds open can lead to the connections we need in order to get to a piece of information we long to find. Marshall Shore, Arizona's Hip Historian, shares his passion and process for discovering wonderful, obscure and sometimes weird treasures and stories from the state's past. He encourages us all to share our unique stories because you may never know where they will lead you.
