From Chuck Page: I suspect you all are in the "Stop SCA 5 AD 28" WeChat group, but if you are not, I just posted this there: Hi, everyone. I wanted to thank all of the people in this WeChat group who helped Barry, Michael and me in our contests to win a position in the runoff against Evan Low on November 4th. I am humbled to have earned enough votes to be in the runoff. Everyone helped their candidate, and even though only two can be in the runoff, each candidate has qualifications that earned them votes. Volunteers should feel good about that, and although every one of us is an individual, we do have much more in common and that's what I choose to focus on. I hope you will too. This election truly comes down to a fight about not allowing discriminatory practices in public education, government redistribution of your earnings, fairness of government employee pensions & benefits, government limitation of business opportunities, and government accountability/openness, to name a few. I am heading to Sacramento tomorrow to discuss SCA-5 and other matters with legislative leaders. As I told Barry yesterday, I would very much like to work with him to ensure that this discrimination proposal dies, but I have already heard from its proponents that they are not going to do that. If you are interested in working with me, I need your leadership, ideas and help. Please contact me by phone 408-713-2661, by email at chuck@chuckpage.org or sign up at www.chuckpage.org. Thank you and together let us end legislative measures that seek to divide us through discrimination.
