Introduction of the Organizing Committee of the Administrative Complaint against Harvard University

The organizing committee of this initiative consists of a group of Asian-American civil rights activists and community leaders. They include:

Yukong Zhao—A Chinese-American author, who has published two books and many columns in Orlando Sentinel, Forbes, The World Journal, Sing Tao Daily on Asian Culture and issues related to Asian Americans, include the first column on English media in support of Chinese Americans’ demonstration against Jimmy Kimmel Show of ABC in November 2013.

Chunyan Li—A Chinese-American professor and civil rights activist, who was interviewed by CNN News during Chinese Americans’ demonstration against Jimmy Kimmel Show of ABC.

Jeff Wang—A Chinese-American educator whose son, Michael Wang has filed administrative complaint to Department of Education in protest of the discrimination by Ivy League Universities.

Swann Lee— A civil rights activist, and a writer who published fiction in literary journals such as Uncivil, 236, Charles River Journal, Writers Talk, etc..

Jack Ouyang—A key organizer of Chinese Alliance for Equality, an alliance formed by more than 20 Chinese American organizations.

Alex Chen—President of The Orange Club, the first grassroots volunteer-based Chinese American Political Action Committee based in Los Angeles, California.

Yingying Sun—President of Houston Chinese Alliance.

Guodong Zhang—President of Long Island Chinese American Association.

Henry Yang—Board member of Silicon Valley Chinese Association.

Charles Liu—President of United for Better Communities.

Vincent Xie—Founder of the CivilRights WeChat, the most influential social media channel on the civil rights issues among the Chinese community on WeChat.

Ted Tian— President of Chinese American Equalization Association.

All of them are outstanding Chinese American leaders who have united many Chinese Americans and created great impact during the recent Chinese American civil rights movement and 2014 mid-term election.
