Buyer / Purchaser
A steel construction company is now seeking for a Buyer / Purchaser to join our growing, dynamic team. The Buyer/ Purchaser will be responsible for handling all purchase requisition requests from different departments.
Duties include, but not limited to:
-Quote production materials, office supplies, equipment, etc per purchase requisition.
-Communicate and collaborate with different departments to confirm item specification and delivery requirements. Conduct product research as necessary.
-Check the inventory before making purchases and perform inventory control.
-Compare received packages with purchase orders and follow up back orders.
-Match packing slips with purchase orders and file mill certificates.
-Record purchase orders in our software (American Contractor), update database, and perform other clerical duty as needed.
-Coordinate with the Shop Foreman regarding material delivery to job sites, prepare delivery receipt, and manage driver schedule.
-Establish good relationships with vendors.
Requirements:
-Highly organized and detail oriented.
-Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
-Outstanding problem-solving and decision-making skills, with positive attitude.
-Highly organized and detail oriented, with an ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and provide exceptional work.
-Ability to multi-task and remain professional under high pressure environment.
-Good verbal & written communication skills
-Bilingual in English and Chinese is a must
-Previous purchasing job experience is preferred, but not essential. Training will be provided.
We offer health insurance, dental insurance, and PTO after probation. We also offer bonus based on employee's performance.
