The energy of 2014 Irvine municipal election is due to be different this year. Chinese community is waking up in this family oriented southern California coastal city with increasing large Chinese population. A Chinese Coalition Forum is born right before the election and brings 18 Irvine Chinese Organizations together to start a new chapter of local political process, with only single objective to encourage more voters to participate in all levels of election. 

Talk is easy. With very little time left on the clock, a series actions are followed. 

Preparation meetings to bring ideas and goals together.

Irvine TOC Pretty Mom Group kicks off the flyer handing-out activity in a popular local event on 9/27. This group is full of energy and passion, they are well-known in southern California culture and political landscape. Look! Aren't they wonderful!! 

Can men sit still by the action of women? Of course they won’t.  9/28, a group of dad formed and went into action immediately, they swept all three Chinese concentrated shopping centers in Irvine and handed out about 350 flyers to individuals and businesses. Conducted many conversations with Irvine residents about Irvine election. This is all about sending a message and planting seeds in the community, bringing awareness and importance to involve in democratic process  and making voice heard.
