Banff national Park
Day 1: Fly to Calgary, Canada. Pick up rental car from airport, drive to wallmart and T&T Supermarket ( a Chinese store) to buy groceries. Drive to Canmore (about 1 hour drive). Stay in Canmore best western, has free hot breakfast.
Day 2: Drive to Banff (about 20mins), visit Lake Minnewanka(the largest lake in Banff area), inside the Banff town, visit Cascades of Time Gardens, The Banff Spring Hotel, Bow Falls, Upper Hot Springs, take Banff Gondola to mountain summit to view the Banff area. (buy a 3-adventure package to take Banff gondola, glacier adventure and glacier skywalk). Drive to Johnston Canyon(about 30 mins from Banff), hike 1.1km to lower falls and 2.7km to upper falls. Drive back to Canmore.
Day 3: Drive to Kootenay National Park (about 45 mins drive entering Kootenay national park). Stop at the Continental Divide, Hike in Marble Canyon(0.8km), painted pots(1.5km). Visit Numa Falls, stop at Vermilion Crossing and drive back to Canmore.
Day 4. Drive to Lake Louise area(about 1 hour drive from canmore). Visit Moraine Lake first, then Lake Louise. Kayak in Lake Louise. Drive back to Canmore.
Day 5: Drive to Moraine Lake/Lake Louise to take more photos. Drive to Yoho National Park, visit Spiral Tunnel, Takakkaw falls, natural bridge and Emerald Lake. Hang around Emerald Lake, drive back to Canmore
Day 6: Check out from Canmore and drive to Jasper (about 4 hour drive from Canmore to Jasper without stop). On the way, visit Bow Lake, Peyto Lake. At Columbia Icefield, Glacier Discover Centre, take the Glacier Adventure to icefield and take the skywalk. Visit Sunwapta Falls and Athabasca Falls. Drive to Jasper downtown, stay in Jasper
Day 7: Drive to Maligne Lake (about 1 hour drive). Hike in Maligne Canyon(2.1km), stop at Medicine Lake, take a cruise in Maligne lake to Spirit Island. Drive back to Jasper
Day 8: Drive to Jasper SkyTram(about 10 mins), take tramway(7mins ride to upper platform) and tail(1.4km long, 200m altitude, very steep trail) to summit of Whistlers Mountain. Drive to Mt Edith Cavell to see Glaciers (0.8km hike). Drive to Lake Beauvert to have a rest. Drive back to Jasper downtown
Day 9: Drive to Calgary from Jasper(about 5 hours non-stop). On the way, spot many glaciers, hike in Columbia Icefield. Mistaya Canyon, stop at Banff downtown, visit Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies and Cave & Basin National Historic Site. Visit Lake Minnewanka. Drive to Calgary, Stay at Calgary
Day 10: Return rental car. Fly back
