Topic: Will self-driving cars make the world a better place?
Raymond (Against): Fog and air pressure will distort the sonar/laser System. Hackers can hack the system and make all the cars crash into each other and/or put a sandbag in the car and program it to drive to who knows where. Hackers could drive it of a cliff.
Zarek (For): The car will not drive off a cliff because the cliff isn't identified as a road and the sensors can detect the cliff and not drive off it. When there is fog and/or air pressure, humans can take over. People can sleep on the car if they didn't sleep the last night, and if they had to drive, the driver will have fatigue and crash.
Crossfire:
Alex Y: If humans took over when there was high air pressure or fog, that would completely defeat the whole entire purpose of a self driving car.
Zarek: Well actually it wouldn't because it isn't always foggy or high air pressure, and new technology could fix that.

Alex Y (Against): We should spend our extra tax money on making our lockers and walls better in our schools. And if it is hot outside or a camper throws a hot coal on the road, the infrared sensor will mess up.
Victor (For): People with disabilities like a missing body part or blindness can get around easier with self driving cars.
Alex Y ( POI): People can still get around... (Interrupted)
Raymond (Illegal POI): They have feet driving cars and heat sensor things for blind people.
Victor: Well it would be a lot easier to have a self driving car either way. Today, people can't really do anything while driving without crashing, but with self driving cars, people can do anything in a car and it will save a lot of time (i.e. Texting, sleeping, eating, or even working or doing a meeting.)
Alex Y ( POI): But my mom can still think about stuff while driving (right mom?)
Victor: And my last point is that it will create jobs like engineers and computer programmers.
Alex Y (POI): But more jobs will be lost like taxi drivers.
Raymond (Illegal POI): Well the car is already made so we don't need anymore engineers to do anything.
Victor: There can always be upgrades though and it can become more safe with new technology.
