How to make your own remote controlled hobby airplane from scratch? 

Instructor: George Wong 

Location: TBD @ Irvine 

Date: 10:00 AM, Saturday Aug. 8th, all day event, starting at 10:00AM

Donation: TBD, material + room cost

1. Fundamentals of aerodynamics, flight control and RC airplane flying rules/regulations. 

2. Introduction of components and how to match the motor with propeller, battery, charger and ESC (Electronic Speed Controller). We will learn how to read the motor rating, LiPo battery rating, etc. 

3. Demo of preparation of the parts and materials. 

4. Do it yourself, participate hands on - from cutting the foam sheet, gluing/building, install motor, servos, ESC, till completion. 

5. Demo/practice flight simulator
