A Perfectly Patient Asian Lady

Don't you just enjoy waiting in line? I've totally got over the anxiety and learnt to nail it each time I'm waiting, no matter if it is for entering one of the tunnels to the city, for a dinner table at my favorite local restaurant, or for a doctor's appointment. (I'm waiting at my gynecologist's at the time of typing.) My mind would run wild, literally wild, while physically restrained in these situations.
Sometimes you can pick up a magazine to read, or take a selfie 😄! But you may not be in that kind of leisure or narcissistic mood all the time. Then what do you do? You vent! As a perfectly patient Asian lady, I would walk to the receptionist and look directly into her eye. Imagined that she had only one eye on me and the other still on my paperwork - I'm a new patient. "Just how long does it take to see the doc?" Oh how I hated myself! I were to yell,"You don't just lure a new patient in with a perfectly smooth and magic online scheduling system and then keep her waiting for more than 30 minutes (actually it took me nearly 20 minutes to complete the paperwork itself - my patience has been almost used up)?! I have other plans in the morning and I need to see the doc right away or I'm leaving!"
In fact, I stayed calm externally, as a perfect patient Asian lady and all other patients sitting in the waiting room, typing up this piece. I was called shortly, even before I could finish my thoughts. The young doctor was nice. We had a good vibe. She complimented that I didn't look like 4X. Wow! I didn't realize I'm that young either😄.
