David: Business boot camp taught me a lot. During the five classes, I was able to not only learn about the components of a wholesome business report and successful startup, but also apply this knowledge through presentations about my own company. Besides learning about business tactics, I have also learned to evaluate other companies based on their team, product, sales, marketing, and vision, a necessary ability when trading stocks. Finally, I was able to collaborate with teammates on a project given little time, and also get a sense of competition in the business world. All in all, the boot camp was a wonderful introductory course that helped me prepare for my future business related endeavours.



Anson: My first ever class for business started on June 20, organized by the Tianmu WeChat group, which was also their first time organizing such a class. At times, it was a little boring, but I felt that it was a great experience overall and I really enjoyed the opportunity to hang out with my friends while also learning about business. The way the course was structured helped keep it interesting and fun.
On the first day of camp, we introduced ourselves and were told about the leadership positions in a business, and who you should look for to help run your business more efficiently. There was a small break in the middle of the class, so I got to talk with people and get more familiar with them. At the end of the class, we chose our business teams and were assigned the first project - designing a product.
The next day, we got to present our research. Standing up in front of the class as a team and presenting our idea as a whole felt great. It seemed to me that everyone asked us the hardest questions, even though we had done the most research and presented the most reasonable idea. We tackled all those questions as a team, and that made me feel much better about our team and our product.
The next few sessions were very similar - we would go home to do some research and present it in class, while learning a bit about the next topic in the latter half of class.
At the end of the course, we presented our entire overall summary of our product, including the marketing research, our product’s specifics, and the business plan, to a huge audience of both parents, judges, and opposing teams. It was extremely fun to present our ideas, and we answered a few questions at the end of our presentation.
I would definitely recommend this camp to anyone interested in business.





Nancy: These past few weeks in this program have been amazing, and I am so grateful for the opportunity I was given. In past experiences, I was plunged into the business world without a clue as to what I was doing. From this experience, I am relieved to learn how to succeed in a business setting, and I am incredibly thankful for the teacher and Tian Mu for guiding me down the right path. This program has ignited my passion for business and a will to be more hardworking. Thank you to all the great people I have met, and I wish them luck for what the future has in store for them.



Scott: The two weeks that I spent in the Tian Mu Business Booster Class truly simulated the real world experiences I might face in the future as a businessman. Through teamwork assignments and great guidance, this Business Camp was able to teach me what it means to be an entrepreneur. It combined the essences of human interaction, business principles, and creativity and produced an all-inclusive life-like simulation of starting a business.
Through multiple teamwork assignments, my group and I were able to learn the most basic tenets of teamwork. These assignments usually required teams to work together to present their ideas in forms of presentations. Because of these assignments my team and I were able to learn to assign each other roles to complete these assignments. We also learned to compromise with each other in order to reach our common goal of finishing our presentation to meet the deadline.
In this summer camp, students were also taught the fundamentals of business with venture capitalists. We learned the objectives of both venture capitalists and businesses, and why they rely on each other. We also learned the main principles that are dealt with when consulting with venture capitalists, and what qualities venture capitalists would like to see in each leader of a business. We then applied our knowledge of the relationship between the two to create a cohesive and demonstrative presentation.
This is without a doubt one of the best summer experiences I have faced. It taught me business, the secrets to team synergy, but most importantly, it taught me to step outside of my cozy bubble. What I gained out of the program will last me a life time.





Daniel: The TianMu business boot camp I took was a great experience. Although I did not attend the first two classes, I was still able to catch up to the rest of the class and work with my group. The first class I took was different, as I never wore a suit and tie to a class before. Not only wearing formal clothes, but also meeting new people was also pretty fun. The most important thing during the classes was that I learned very valuable information about business and will incorporate it into my future job. Although my group didn’t do so well in the first couple of weeks, we pulled through and managed to finish.
Here are some things that I learned and felt was important: Venture Capitalists are the main source of investment, talking loud and clear is essential in doing a presentation, no fidgeting, and make sure to have a reason for everything. All in all, this camp taught me a lot about business and how to give a good presentation. Also a big thanks to the teacher for helping me out after missing the first two classes.
