Two Final Reminders Before Tonight's Critical City Council Meeting - Tuesday, May 19, 7:00pm City Council Chambers
UPDATE - May 19:

The City Council is expected to vote tonight to select one of four proposals to determine the future of whether to continue or stop planning the largest residential development in our city's history in East Pleasanton

We believe that only a huge turnout by residents will convince the Council that the majority of Pleasanton Voters oppose this massive sprawl and its detrimental impact on our limited water, overcrowded schools and already-congested traffic.

WE NEED YOUR HELP:
  • MOST IMPORTANT - PLEASE ATTEND THE MEETING  - May 19,Tuesday @ 7:00 p.m., City Council Chambers, 200 Old Bernal Avenue.
  • PLEASE HELP US DEFRAY OUR COSTS - Please help share the costs of getting this message out and rallying the community by making a (even a small) donation to our PayPal account. (As individuals we have spent approximately $2,500 so far on our website, emails, printing, 1st Wednesday booth, etc.)

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

Pleasanton City Leaders (on a 4:1 vote) approved planning for the BIGGEST residential development in the history of Pleasanton! The EastPleasanton Specific Plan (EPSP) located between Pleasanton and Livermore.

The "Preferred" Base plan is for 1300 new houses, PLUS 1.6 million sq. ft. industrial/retail development.

2. This project will create a traffic nightmare with over 29,000+/per day new vehicle trips on Pleasanton streets.

3. No money for our overcrowded Middle and High Schools, but will add nearly 1300 new PUSD students!

4. NONE of these residences are required to meet State or Regionally imposed housing unit requirements.

5. Thousands more people means less water for you!
