On June 8, 2015, U.S. Representatives Ed Royce (R-Calif.) and Dana Rohrabacher (R-Calif.) publicly released their letter to the U.S. Department of Education and U.S. Department of Justice concerning the Administrative Complaint filed by over 60 Asian-American groups against Harvard for its discrimination against Asian American applicants (http://asianamericancoalition.org/p17125&g=4028&tag=892&page=1;

Reps. Royce and Rohrabacher have asked every member of the U.S. House of Representatives to sign the letter before sending it on June 22, 2015.

​ ​He​re the or​ganizing committee requests for your help, please meet, call and/or write to your representatives and senators and urge them to sign the letter. Please take the following steps:

 1.      Find the contact information of the House Representative in your district and Senators of your State: https://www.opencongress.org/people/zipcodelookup

2.      Visit him/her in person, if possible.

3.      If not possible, customize the attached letter by filling the name of the congressman or congresswoman, and your name, sign it and fax to the congressman/congresswoman’s office. Follow up with a phone call if possible.

4.      If you can not do the step 2 and step 3, please send an email (least effective), and follow up with a phone call to his/her office.

For our children’s equal education rights, please spend 15 minutes to air your voice to your House Representative and Senators.

I am a resident in your district. I am writing to request that you join Rep. Ed Royce in support of Asian Americans’ pursuit of equal education rights. 

On May 15, 2015, more than 60 Chinese, Indian, Korea and Pakistani American organizations all over the nation jointly filed an Administrative Complaint with Department of Justice and Department of Education. They request that the US government initiate a civil rights violation investigation into Harvard University's admissions process and require that Harvard and other Ivy League schools stop their severe unconstitutional discriminatory admission practices, including: 

1.      Using racial stereotypes;

2.      Using racially differentiated standards: "highest for Asians, next for whites and lowest for blacks and Hispanics"; and

3.      Racial rebalancing, a de facto racial quota: Asian admission rates in Ivy League Schools have been kept between 14-18% over the last twenty years despite the fact that Asian-American population has more than doubled since 1993. 

These discriminations are a clear violation of the Fourteenth Amendment of the U. S. Constitution and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
