Senate Republican Leader to hold Media Avail on
California Teacher Tenure Laws, AB 1619
SACRAMENTO - Senate Republican Leader Bob Huff will hold a press availability to discuss the legislative effort (AB 1619) that undermines the L.A. County Superior Court ruling in Vergara vs. California, which deemed California's teacher tenure laws unconstitutional.

WHO:              Senate Republican Leader Bob Huff (R-Diamond Bar)

WHAT:             Press availability to discuss AB 1619, California Teacher Tenure Laws

WHY:               Los Angeles County Superior Court has provided the State Legislature with an opportunity
to create a level educational playing field for all California students. The Legislature should not
wait for the courts to act, and enact laws that address the inequalities of California's public
school system. AB 1619 represents a step backwards from the court ruling.

WHEN:            WEDNESDAY June 18th, 2014 @ 9:00 AM.

WHERE:          Outside Capitol Room 4203

NOTE:             Open to credentialed media only.
