A Summer Whistle

Listen, my heart.
In his whistle is the music
of the bee hums in summer garden,
of the gurgling water in the Don River of Toronto,
of the passion pops from bubbles in a glass of beer.

The whistle steals the most handsome smile from his lips,
and spreads it all over my life.
