Hello Volunteers,

 I hope this email meets you in good spirits.

 I would like to inform you of an upcoming Volunteer Information Session. This session will cover the details of all the volunteers roles and what you  need to know about volunteering for Peel CAS. 

Due to capacity, we will be able to register only the first 50 individuals who respond to this email. Space is limited, so please respond quickly! You will receive an email confirmation from me.

Complete contact information of your two references (telephone and email address)  Must not be a family member.

 REQUIREMENTS FOR VOLUNTEER DRIVERS AND MENTORS AT INFORMATION SESSION

 * Drivers availability required driving weekdays Monday to Friday, mornings and afternoons, minimum 3 days a week

*Drivers need to have a Driver’s Abstract - please see attached document – “How to Get an Abstract” 

(please obtain Abstract and bring- cost $12.00)

*Drivers need $1,000,000 liability insurance coverage for your car - (please bring the long insurance form)

Vulnerable Sector (Police) Check -  (requisition form will be issued at information session)

1 year minimum commitment with the flexibility of 2-3 hours per week

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUPERVISED ACCESS VOLUNTEERS  AT ORIENTATION

Here are the requirements for a Supervised Access Volunteer:

1.       Must have an educational background in Social Services i.e. CYW, SSW, BSW, ECE

2.       Must have at least 2 years experience working in Social Services/Child Welfare

3.       Experience working with families

4.       Knowledge of developmental milestones is an asset

5.       Knowledge of parenting skills is an asset

6.       Knowledge of family dynamics is an asset

7.       Ability to complete 2 shifts per month for a period of 4 hours on a Saturday or a Sunday

8.      Ability to write clearly and neatly as the case notes is a legal document

9.      Good command of the English language

10.     Minimum one year commitment
