Description:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Database Marketing, this position provides highly specialized advice and consultation to clients, typically of a high-level tactical nature, within the area of database marketing and data-driven communications.
The purpose of this position is to:
- Using customer relationship management (CRM) techniques, the individual will design direct marketing programs to increase customer profitability and long term loyalty by cross marketing various bank products and services to customers with a high propensity to buy those products.
- Leverage client information contained in the data warehouse to analyze client information and banking behaviour to preparing pre-campaign analysis for the purpose of creating client offers and campaign strategies,
- Examine previous campaign designs and results to improve program effectiveness.
- Search for new opportunities to create effective campaigns and to meet customer needs.
- Work closely with the customer modeling group, the post analysis group as well as the Campaign Delivery Group to deliver customized one-to-one marketing programs through multiple channels including direct mail, branch, telephone, and internet
- Participate in or lead projects to improve campaign effectiveness
- Act as a team leader to the senior analysts on the team.
- Operate in a highly matrixed organization where influencing, relationship building and collaboration skills are essential
Responsibilities:
- Independently works with the line of business to develop and execute profitable 1:1 marketing communication strategies to increase client value, increase client consolidation and enhance the client relationship / experience. Ensure that messages are delivered to the right clients, at the right time, with the right offer.
- Provide highly specialized analysis and guidance, typically of a high- level tactical nature, to management/senior management (including business leaders/corporate policy makers), & client groups, within an area of one-to-one communication program design.
- Provide guidance, technical & consultative support specific to client areas by providing input, analysis &/or perspective in the form of comments, recommendations, business cases, opinions & procedures, etc. in order to address and design effective one-to-one communications programs. Typically this requires research and analysis of complex conceptual and quantitative information.
- Prepares comprehensive pre-campaign economic analyses to ensure the most effective use of funding is employed. Also ensures that all recommended designs can be tracked and analyzed to prove or disprove the economics post-implementation.
- Ensures that the delivery of offers to clients is completed to specifications outlined in program designs to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of the final offer to the consumer.
- Develop a thorough understanding of designated client group(s) & businesses in order to recommend client specific approaches to resolving high level, potentially high impact needs of their clients.
- Lead and manage projects to enhance, develop & customize programs, products & services to meet client needs, develop working models & associated implementation options. Participate and lead cross-functional projects that represent their area, & the client group's interests.
- Maintain 'currency' in professional & specialized knowledge sufficient to provide value-added consulting to clients on an ongoing basis
- Ensure all direct communications falls under appropriate policies and processes as outlined in our client privacy and confidentiality guidelines.
- Monitor trends within the area of specialization & provide information in terms of how they may impact on business areas or internal client groups.
Requirements:
- Experience and knowledge in independent development and execution of data-driven targeted marketing programs from up-front campaign design to back-end fulfillment and measurement.
- Solid expertise and knowledge in Relationship Marketing planning and communication program design, including principles, practices, processes, procedures, products & services.
- Understands the development and application of statistical modeling and client event detection. Experience in application of predictive models in a direct marketing environment.
- Direct marketing program execution including planning, segmentation, test matrix design, list management, fulfillment, and tracking.
- Direct/database marketing background and a comfort level with technology.
- Ability to operate in a fast past dynamic organization where change is a constant.
- In-depth knowledge of the data available within the Client Information Warehouse and how to access it.
- Developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to translate complex conceptual and/or technical ideas/issues/solutions to non-technical clients.
- Excellent project management skills for managing complex campaigns and large scale projects.
