Time:                         6:30 p.m.

The City of Irvine is working with Five Point Communities to develop the Orange County Great Park Sports Complex. The first phase of the Complex is anticipated to open within the next year and will include 24 soccer fields, 12 ball diamonds, 4 basketball courts, 5 sand volleyball courts, 25 tennis courts and a number of buildings to support these sports facilities. The sports fields and courts above include a championship stadium for soccer, baseball, softball, tennis and sand volleyball. Additional information regarding the project is available on the website for Orange County Great Park (LINK).

While this work is progressing, the Irvine City Council approved a consultant services agreement with The Pulse Group to develop operating model options for the Sports Complex. A key component of the study is stakeholder input. This includes meeting with representatives currently utilizing City and Orange County Great Park athletic facilities, but also includes community representatives who may have an interest in the new facilities planned for the Park.

A meeting has been scheduled to discuss reservations and programs for adult sports on January 28 at 6:30 p.m.

If you are interested in attending, please RSVP to Renee HighEagle at rhigheagle@cityofirvine.org or 949-724-6691. If you have questions, please contact me by email or phone.

Thank you,
