At the age of nine, my twins don't believe in Santa Claus any more. Since last year, they have been asking questions like "How come Santa knew what we wanted, and we only told you!" My answer: "Santa got some tips from the parents." which certainly did not help... Oh well, that time finally came.
This year, they put their wish list in writing, and sat with me in front of the computer for hours. Ordering a great Christmas gift with a set budget was never easy. What made me smile was: After satisfying their need for books, I was allowed to order a small goodie with the money left. So this Christmas, I shall also hang up my stocking, and wait for Santa to deliver my gift.
May the Santa Claus who drives a UPS van come on time. I wish my gift fly all the way from China without falling off from the chimney. We don't have a chimney in the house, nor a real fireplace. Yet, I will be waiting at the door. I will be there to sign off for the delivery.
Christmas is about sharing. Let's donate some money, or as little as a can of food to the food bank. When we give back, we are all Santa Claus this year.
