今晨，咱家的枫树叶子红了!
宝贝，你一切可好吗?
曾记得，
你上小学二年级，那年秋天，
我们搬到现在的家。
扎着羊角辫的你，
围着大枫树
跑呀跳呀。
将小弟弟放到秋千里，
再把他荡到蓝天上，
你俩稚嫩的笑声
飘散到白云里……
曾记得，
你捡起五角的叶子，
和树下的小石子，
用油彩涂上—
蓝色的天,
白色的云，
黄色和红色的小花，
绿色的小草，
送给小伙伴们作礼物。
女孩子们的说笑
像树上的小鸟……
曾记得，
大枫树下，
和你的小男友
轻轻的谈着
属于你们俩的秘密。
甜蜜的笑容，
青春的面颊，
像枫红
映着朝霞……
曾记得，
你大一的那年仲秋，
久旱的加州，
一场细雨
让你想家了。
“我想你，妈妈！
也想爸爸和弟弟！”
你低声说。
妈妈的心呵，
一下子飞到了
你的身边……
就这样，
每年的枫红季节，
妈妈都会
给你上传红叶的照片。
你说你何曾记得
树叶会变颜色，
那树冠像红火的云彩。
我说它让我思念起，
我的宝贝，
远方的你……

When we first moved to this house,
When you started second grade,
You tied your hair in a pair of pigtails.
You skipped and ran around the tree;
You put your baby brother in the swing, and
You swang him up high, in the blue sky;
Your giggling rang all the way, to the white clouds……

You picked up the colorful
maple leaves and pebbles,
under the tree.
You painted on them
Blue sky with white clouds,
Yellow and red flowers on green grass.
You gave them to your friends;
You girls played and laughed as happily as
the birdies in the tree……

When you, with your boyfriend,
Chatted softly, under the tree,
in a voice only you two could hear.
Your sweet faces, blushing
Were as red
as the maple leaves,
in morning sunshine……

After you left for college,
That first autumn.
When it rained in California
after a long drought,
You called and said,
"I miss you, Mom!
I miss Dad and Didi!"
My heart immediately flew
All the way to you,
My dear baby……
Therefore
I take pictures for you
Each year, in this season, when the maple leaves turn red.
I text you the pictures, and
You say that you just
remembered that leaves change colors;
They look like a fire cloud.
I say it reminds me of you,
My dear baby……
