On Friday May 15, 2015, leaders and representatives of more than 50 Asian American Organizations will be holding a press conference in The National Press Club in Washington, D.C. to announce an Administrative Complaint against Harvard University regarding its discriminatory admission practices against Asian American applicants.

The discrimination in college admissions is the biggest civil rights issue Asian Americans suffer from. After being largely silent for more than 20 years, Asian American organizations will now jointly file an Administrative Complaint with the Civil Rights Division, Department of Justice in Washington D.C. and Office of Civil Rights, Department of Education in Boston on May 15, 2015. In this Complaint the coalition of Asian American organizations requests that the Department of Education and the Department of Justice conduct a thorough investigation of Harvard on its admissions process and require Harvard University and other Ivy League Universities to stop their discriminatory practices in admission including racial stereotypes, racial biases, racial quota and other illegal means. This is the largest action taken by Asian Americans for equal college admission rights in 20 years, joined by more than 50 Chinese, Indian, Korean and Pakistani organizations all over the nation.

Planned attendees also include Congressman Dana Rohrabacher and Mr. Michael Wang, who filed a complaint with the Office for Civil Rights, Department of Education in 2013 regarding his unfair treatment by Ivy League Universities.

We hereby cordially invite all journalists and members of the press to this conference, an event about Asian American equal education rights specially held in the Asian Pacific American Heritage Month of 2015.
