S’port For Kids Foundation
A registered Canadian Charity
• Alex founded the S’port for Kids Foundation to advance the physical, emotional and social development of youth by providing guidance, support and funding to individuals, organizations and communities, where the need was demonstrated.
• Disadvantaged youth were given opportunities to take part in sports programs that foster a strong sense of self-worth, teamwork, leadership and community.
• After 18 years of serving the community, S’port for Kids was dissolved in April 2015. During this time it has had a positive impact on the lives of over 50,000 children through leadership and mentorship programs, donated more than $1 million in funding and partnered with 17 community organizations including the Children’s Aid Foundation, Salvation Army and cultural organizations to provide safe and healthy environments for children, away from the harmful pressures of drugs, crime and gangs.
Honorary Director 2007 - present Carefirst Seniors & Community Services Association
• Carefirst is a non-profit charitable organization that serves 6,500 clients a year including seniors and physically disabled in the GTA and York region with an operating budget of $11 million. It ensures that seniors and those in need enjoy independent, enriched and quality living in the community through social, health care and supportive services.

Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care
. Appointed to the Board to assist the Yee Hong Centre with the planned growth and development of Chinese residential homes for seniors throughout the GTA.
